Every Flex-a-lite Heavy Duty tube & fin cooler – including remote mount coolers can be ordered with color anodized edge protectors and matching fittings by adding a custom color suffix to the regular cooler number.

For example to order a 45226 with red anodized edge protectors and fittings, specific a 45226-1. See the list below.

Not only does it look great, the edge protectors prevent accidental damage to cooling fins (not to mention knuckles).

To order Custom Fittings on dual circuit coolers

For dual circuit coolers, the last two digits of the six-digit part number refers to the fittings used. Replace the last two digits of the cooler number with the digits for the fittings you want. On a 4+2 pass cooler, the fifth digit indicates the fitting desired on the 4-pass segment; the sixth digit shows the fitting desired on the 2-pass segment. Choose from the alternate fittings below.

Fitting Codes for Dual Circuit Heavy Duty Oil Coolers:

(Replace the last 2 digits of the oil cooler part number with any of the following. List the larger circuit first.)

1 = 1/2" FPT, 3 = 3/8" barb, 4 – 1/2 barb, 6 = #6AN male, 0 = #10AN male.

Example: a 462643 is a dual circuit HD cooler with a 1/2" barb on the 4-pass circuit, and a 3/8" barb on the 2-pass circuit.

Ordering a remote mount cooler/fan as a dual circuit

The heavy duty remote coolers (#45901 & 45951) on page 30 can be ordered as dual circuit units. Beginning with the core code 4690 or 4695, add the two fitting codes that describe the fittings desired on the two circuits (see above: "Fitting Codes for Dual Circuit Heavy Duty Oil Coolers".
