Flex A Lite Products

Flex a lite Products

I wanted to write you (Flex a lite) and thank you for your superior products. I have been offroading now for 15years and can’t express my thanks when it comes to dependable high quality products. My current vehicle is a Supercharged V8 full competition Rock Racer that see’s some extreme abuse. I run a full radiator and fan setup along with their large transmission cooler and fan, with a very tight engine fit. There radiator tanks are like no other with their extra added cooling ability, and mounting system integrated into their tanks, Which gave me that little extra cooling that I needed. This vehicle see’s extreme RPM’s but yet needs to be able to idle with virtually no air flow for longer than normal times. The service and tech from Michelle, Dave and others I have received in the last few years is like no other I have seen. You throw out a scenario or suggestion and they strive for that next step solution. I want to just thank the whole gang at Flex a Lite; they have a great team working there.

Sincerely,
Troy

GREAT WARRANTY & CUSTOMER SERVICE

i WANT TO F/U ON THE TESTIMONY I WROTE PRASING THE FLEX-A-LITE FAN #295. I READ MR PALACIOS' TESTIMONY RE. BOLTS NOT INCLUDED IN HIS SHIPMENT AND THE PROBLEM WITH INSERTING THE TEMP PROBE IN THE RADIATOR. MY VARIABLE SENSOR CONTROL (VSC) MODULE WENT OUT AND I CALLED FLEX-A-LITE (BOB) CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TOLD HIM MY PROBLEM. SINCE THESE GREAT FANS COME WITH A YR WARRANTY ALL I HAD TO WAS FAX IN A COPY OF MY INVOICE AND THEY IMMEDIATELY SHIPPED OUT THE NEW PART. SINCE THE FANS WORKED GREAT AND WAS NOT THE PROBLEM I DID NOT HAVE TO SHIP THE WHOLE THING BACK. IF MR PALACIOS WOULD HAVE CONTACTED FLEX-A-LITE OR THE COMPANY HE ORDERED THE FANS FROM I'M SURE THEY WOULD HAVE IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. AS FAR AS INSERTING THE TEMP PROBE I BELONG TO A WEBSITE SPECIFICALLY FOR MY MAKE AND IF YOU GO TO WWW.FORDFORUM.COM CLICK ON YOUR VEHICLE AND POST YOUR QUESTION YOU WOULD GET ALOT OF RESPONSES TO YOUR ISSUE. I DID AND IT WAS BETTER FOR ME TO INSERT THE PROBE AT THE TOP OF THE RAD NEAR THE POINT WHERE THE UPPER RAD HOSE CONNECTS TO THE RADIATOR. YOU MUST BE CAREFUL AND INSERT IT SLOWLY. ADDING SOME TYPE OF SPRAY LUBRICANT HELPS. I FOUND THIS POINT GIVES THE MOST ACCURRATE TEMP READING. HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS AND YOU GIVE FLEX-A-LITE ANOTHER TRY. THIS IS MY 2ND FAN FROM THEM MY FIRST WENT INTO MY 97 JEEP WRANGLER SPORT. AND NO THEY ARE NOT PAYING ME FOR THIS.LOL!

THIS FAN IS UNDERRATED

I PURCHASED THE DUAL ELECTRIC FANS WITH TEMP CONTROL MODEL #295 FOR MY 1998 DODGE RAM SPORT 1500 4X4 IN MAY 2007. I KNEW ELECTRIC FANS WERE BETTER THAN THE TRADITIONAL BELT DRIVEN ONES BUT I HAD NO IDEA HOW AWSOME THIS FAN WAS. I DRIVE 100+ MILES ROUND TRIP TO AND FROM WORK 6 DAYS A WEEK SO NEEDLESS TO SAY FUEL IS AN ISSUE. MY TRUCK IS A QUAD CAB WITH LARGE OFFROAD TIRES, 4:56 GEARS AND A TOTAL OF 9IN OF LIFT WITH A 360 (5.9L) V-8. PRIOR TO INSTALLING THE FAN I WAS AVG 320MILES TO THE TANK (26GAL) AFTER THE INSTALL IT SHOT TO 360MILES AND AFTER A TUNE UP NOW I GET 380 MILES TO THE TANK. NOW THIS IS HWY MILES BUT YOU CAN SEE THE INCREASE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE FANS TO ANYONE EITHER WANTING TO CONVERT THEIR BELT AND PULLEY DRIVEN FAN OVER OR WHO WANTS TO UPGRADE THEIR FACTORY ELECTRIC FANS. THE WARRANTY IS UNBEATABLE. IF YOU NEED TO KNOW ADDTIONAL INFO GO TO DODGEFORUM.COM EVERYONE THERE IS USING THEM.

NEVER AGAIN!

I recieved my flex-a-lite for my Ford F250 Diesel within a couple of days. Right off the bat it did not come with the mounting bolts per instructions. So I had to buy them myself. That should of been my clue to return the fan. However, I proceeded to install the fan anyways. Second problem was the temperature sensor that is required to be placed between the radiator fins caused a leak in the radiator, due to the temp sensor was a little too big. Would I would NOT recommend anyone pay $629.00 for this fan, especially since they can't even provide all necessary parts for installation. I should have just replaced with original FORD parts. NEVER AGAIN!

If this wasn't on my own race car, I don't know if I would belive it!

I went to Florida last week for our NMRA season opener. I had several new untested parts, the Flex-a-lite fan and radiator among them. I was so surprised to see how well the new system cooled. I almost refused to believe it. My best run of the weekend was a 9.71 elapsed time at 138.29 miles per hour. I specifically looked at the Stewart Warner gauge and it was an incredible 138 degrees as I returned to my pit. That was a round trip temperature I guess you could call it.

This system is so very efficient. I also realized how quickly I could cool the engine when I came back to the pit. This will be a big benefit when we get caught in a "hot lap" scenario.

I also have gained confidence in the fact that I can cool quickly in the staging lanes if necessary.

I know that it is lowering the temperature an average of 20+ degrees from my previous 3 row unit.

I had several people looking at the system in the pits and staging lanes. The cutaway sample of a tank will be a nice item to have on hand to show them. My engine builder, Jim Kuntz was impressed.

I thought you would want to hear some facts and observations.

Please keep in touch.

GTX with Radiator/Fan Combo

"i am totally pleased with my aluminum flex-a-lite radiatior/fan combo. i was concerned when building this car (68 GTX with 472 Fuel Injected HEMI) about it overheating. the kit was an easily installation and it looks awesome under the hood. my first experience with the car was at SEMA this year (2006). i had to set in the line to get the car in the building most of the day. i could set in 80+ degree weather idling without the temperature ever getting over 170 degrees. what a killer product!

Radiator Fan Combo

I just installed the "new CONCEPT in radiator design with
Flex-a-fit Sidetanks with fan and additional controller" in my 56 f100 with tilt nose and it is beautiful. So easy to install. Every hot rodder should have one.
