Mojave 640 heater

After receiving several quotes to replace the heater core in my 1997 Audi A6 ($1200-1400), I decided to search out an alternative and, lo and behold, your Mojave 640 appeared in the JC Whitney catalog. Checked the dimensions and decided to remove the glove box and frame which allowed ample space to install. In a few hours, with the help of my brother, we were able to complete a neat and attractive installation for under $200!!! This unit blows heat like I never had before and warms the entire car in under 15 mins. My sincere thanks for such a wonderful product.

Awesome gains

I originally bought the dual electric #270 to fit on my 02 F150 after my original fan blade met with my CAI bracket.
It was a big price with what seemed like minimal gains....until I hooked up my trailer.
I used to go through a tank and a half to go 500Km, but after I put on the electrics, that dropped to about 7/8 of a tank for the same distance.
Truly amazing, I never would have thought the factory fan had that much of an effect while pulling.
I loved the fans so much, I pulled them off the '02 when I sold it and put them on the '06 King Ranch I bought.

5 yrs Daily Driven and all I ever replaced was the temp controller once.

Ill definitely be converting all my vehicle to Flex-a-Lite products

Customer Service Excellence

Approximately 18 months ago, my son and I put a new Flex a lite radiator and kit in his 5.0 Mustang. Unfortunately, it began to leak after 7K miles. When I spoke to Dave in Technical QA/Engineering, and made him aware of the problem, he quickly responded and RA'd the old radiator and promptly sent a new one. The new radiator works great! Thanks to Dave for terrific customer service - I can't tell you how much we appreciatge it. Bob

It works

I too had a hesitation in the price of these fans... but yup they do work. I put the 280 on my 94 K1500 4x4 350, with a cold air kit, throttle body spacer, chip and power pulleys, and exhaust kit. Before the fans I was averaging 16-18 mpg, now I'm getting 19-21 mpg and the throttle responce is great without the massive dragging fan clutch. I'd suggest these to anyone wanting to convert there vehicle. And I WILL put your product on the next truck I get.

A military thanks

To Whom It May Concern,

I wanted to write a thank you note for your recent generosity. A have a set of your electric fans on my 2001 F150 that I have thoroughly enjoyed. I have more power and the truck always runs cooler now even in heavy traffic. The fans are about 5 years old and just recently had a small problem. The control board must have overheated at some point and the ground wire burned off. I looked up your contact information on the web and called one of your reps about a replacement part. During our idle conversation, I had mentioned that I am in the US Navy. The rep thanked me for my service and offered to send me the replacement part free of charge. I was already a big supporter of your products but your desire to give soldiers and sailors a "good deal" just further proved what a wonderful company you have. I make sure that I tell everyone I know that your products are outstanding and that your customer service is second to none. Thank you for producing such great products and for your wonderful customer support.

A faithful and lifetime customer,
Dustin

Flex fan - high quality product

I bought a Flex-a-lite flex fan and 2" spacer to replace the stock power-robbing clutch fan on my 1994 Ford Bronco (5.8L). It was the best performance upgrade I've ever purchased. My seemingly tired old engine suddenly has new life and doesn't bog down after running the A/C at a stop light.

The fan and spacer are very high quality and fit perfectly on the first try with included hardware.

I highly recommend this product to anyone wanting the best bang-for-the-buck performance upgrade for their mechanically-cooled vehicle.

Customer Service.

I have to admit, at first I had a huge lump in my throat when I found out how much your fan set up was for my 1998 C3500. I weighed my options and decided to buy it hoping for the best. I had my truck dynoed at Wichita Dyno and overall I am very happy with the results. Along with some tuning I picked up 45 HP and 100FT torque. Not to mention the extra 2 MPG. But all that said I had a bad night 2 weeks ago when al of a sudden my fans started shaking violently. I pulled over to ivestigate and the rubber seal on the shroud had came off and sucked thru the fan breaking both blades and burning up 1 motor. So knowing that it was close to the year (12 Month Warranty) I ordered replacement parts from my local dealer and called to see if this was an issue. AJ from Flex-A-Lite called me back and told me that if I could get my receipt that they would cover it under warranty. Great right, woops, it had been more like 15 months since i purchased so I called back to hear the bad news. The cool thing is, no bad news. They covered it. Now in todays age thats unheard of customer service. These guys stand behind their product 1000% Thanks Flex-A-Lite, I wont ever heasate to purchase your product again and tell everyone else the same!

Flex a lite stands behind its products!!

I just wanted to write you to tell you how much I appreciate your dedication to your customer base. I recently called you regarding a small problem with a temp probe. The wiring had come out of the probe & caused the fan (Black Magic) to work improperly. Without hesitation, you sent me a new one at NO CHARGE!!. In this day and age, it is unfortunately rare for a company to take of its customers the way you take care of yours. I will be a Flex a lite fan (pun intended) for life!!

Thank you!
Tim

Wrangler Extreme Puller Fan for my Rubicon.

My Rubicon gets extensive use. Having a reliable electric fan makes sense. The Rubi receives cooling at idle, even with the A/C cooling me; and while crawling the back country. The customer service I received from Flex-a-lite is superb. I highly recommend the #485 puller for the Wrangler. I am highly impressed with flex-a-lite. Might as well have the best.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to say what a great product you have.I`ve been pulling my hair out trying to get my wife`s 64 Pontiac Tempest big block to run cool. I`ve tried every trick from racing radiators, electric fans and high volume water pumps. Water temps of 240 degrees or higher were normal, and scary. The car would get so hot it would even stall due to fuel vapor lock.It was brutal to drive, even the interior got unbearable. I bought one of your black magic fans,3300 cfm and the results are unbelievable. It took about an hour to install and now it`ll idle in traffic all day and won`t get over 185 degrees. Just wanted to say thanks and it was worth every penny.

Flex A Lite Products

Flex a lite Products

I wanted to write you (Flex a lite) and thank you for your superior products. I have been offroading now for 15years and can’t express my thanks when it comes to dependable high quality products. My current vehicle is a Supercharged V8 full competition Rock Racer that see’s some extreme abuse. I run a full radiator and fan setup along with their large transmission cooler and fan, with a very tight engine fit. There radiator tanks are like no other with their extra added cooling ability, and mounting system integrated into their tanks, Which gave me that little extra cooling that I needed. This vehicle see’s extreme RPM’s but yet needs to be able to idle with virtually no air flow for longer than normal times. The service and tech from Michelle, Dave and others I have received in the last few years is like no other I have seen. You throw out a scenario or suggestion and they strive for that next step solution. I want to just thank the whole gang at Flex a Lite; they have a great team working there.

Sincerely,
Troy

GREAT WARRANTY & CUSTOMER SERVICE

i WANT TO F/U ON THE TESTIMONY I WROTE PRASING THE FLEX-A-LITE FAN #295. I READ MR PALACIOS' TESTIMONY RE. BOLTS NOT INCLUDED IN HIS SHIPMENT AND THE PROBLEM WITH INSERTING THE TEMP PROBE IN THE RADIATOR. MY VARIABLE SENSOR CONTROL (VSC) MODULE WENT OUT AND I CALLED FLEX-A-LITE (BOB) CUSTOMER SERVICE AND TOLD HIM MY PROBLEM. SINCE THESE GREAT FANS COME WITH A YR WARRANTY ALL I HAD TO WAS FAX IN A COPY OF MY INVOICE AND THEY IMMEDIATELY SHIPPED OUT THE NEW PART. SINCE THE FANS WORKED GREAT AND WAS NOT THE PROBLEM I DID NOT HAVE TO SHIP THE WHOLE THING BACK. IF MR PALACIOS WOULD HAVE CONTACTED FLEX-A-LITE OR THE COMPANY HE ORDERED THE FANS FROM I'M SURE THEY WOULD HAVE IMMEDIATELY CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. AS FAR AS INSERTING THE TEMP PROBE I BELONG TO A WEBSITE SPECIFICALLY FOR MY MAKE AND IF YOU GO TO WWW.FORDFORUM.COM CLICK ON YOUR VEHICLE AND POST YOUR QUESTION YOU WOULD GET ALOT OF RESPONSES TO YOUR ISSUE. I DID AND IT WAS BETTER FOR ME TO INSERT THE PROBE AT THE TOP OF THE RAD NEAR THE POINT WHERE THE UPPER RAD HOSE CONNECTS TO THE RADIATOR. YOU MUST BE CAREFUL AND INSERT IT SLOWLY. ADDING SOME TYPE OF SPRAY LUBRICANT HELPS. I FOUND THIS POINT GIVES THE MOST ACCURRATE TEMP READING. HOPEFULLY THIS HELPS AND YOU GIVE FLEX-A-LITE ANOTHER TRY. THIS IS MY 2ND FAN FROM THEM MY FIRST WENT INTO MY 97 JEEP WRANGLER SPORT. AND NO THEY ARE NOT PAYING ME FOR THIS.LOL!

THIS FAN IS UNDERRATED

I PURCHASED THE DUAL ELECTRIC FANS WITH TEMP CONTROL MODEL #295 FOR MY 1998 DODGE RAM SPORT 1500 4X4 IN MAY 2007. I KNEW ELECTRIC FANS WERE BETTER THAN THE TRADITIONAL BELT DRIVEN ONES BUT I HAD NO IDEA HOW AWSOME THIS FAN WAS. I DRIVE 100+ MILES ROUND TRIP TO AND FROM WORK 6 DAYS A WEEK SO NEEDLESS TO SAY FUEL IS AN ISSUE. MY TRUCK IS A QUAD CAB WITH LARGE OFFROAD TIRES, 4:56 GEARS AND A TOTAL OF 9IN OF LIFT WITH A 360 (5.9L) V-8. PRIOR TO INSTALLING THE FAN I WAS AVG 320MILES TO THE TANK (26GAL) AFTER THE INSTALL IT SHOT TO 360MILES AND AFTER A TUNE UP NOW I GET 380 MILES TO THE TANK. NOW THIS IS HWY MILES BUT YOU CAN SEE THE INCREASE. I WOULD RECOMMEND THESE FANS TO ANYONE EITHER WANTING TO CONVERT THEIR BELT AND PULLEY DRIVEN FAN OVER OR WHO WANTS TO UPGRADE THEIR FACTORY ELECTRIC FANS. THE WARRANTY IS UNBEATABLE. IF YOU NEED TO KNOW ADDTIONAL INFO GO TO DODGEFORUM.COM EVERYONE THERE IS USING THEM.

NEVER AGAIN!

I recieved my flex-a-lite for my Ford F250 Diesel within a couple of days. Right off the bat it did not come with the mounting bolts per instructions. So I had to buy them myself. That should of been my clue to return the fan. However, I proceeded to install the fan anyways. Second problem was the temperature sensor that is required to be placed between the radiator fins caused a leak in the radiator, due to the temp sensor was a little too big. Would I would NOT recommend anyone pay $629.00 for this fan, especially since they can't even provide all necessary parts for installation. I should have just replaced with original FORD parts. NEVER AGAIN!

If this wasn't on my own race car, I don't know if I would belive it!

I went to Florida last week for our NMRA season opener. I had several new untested parts, the Flex-a-lite fan and radiator among them. I was so surprised to see how well the new system cooled. I almost refused to believe it. My best run of the weekend was a 9.71 elapsed time at 138.29 miles per hour. I specifically looked at the Stewart Warner gauge and it was an incredible 138 degrees as I returned to my pit. That was a round trip temperature I guess you could call it.

This system is so very efficient. I also realized how quickly I could cool the engine when I came back to the pit. This will be a big benefit when we get caught in a "hot lap" scenario.

I also have gained confidence in the fact that I can cool quickly in the staging lanes if necessary.

I know that it is lowering the temperature an average of 20+ degrees from my previous 3 row unit.

I had several people looking at the system in the pits and staging lanes. The cutaway sample of a tank will be a nice item to have on hand to show them. My engine builder, Jim Kuntz was impressed.

I thought you would want to hear some facts and observations.

Please keep in touch.

GTX with Radiator/Fan Combo

"i am totally pleased with my aluminum flex-a-lite radiatior/fan combo. i was concerned when building this car (68 GTX with 472 Fuel Injected HEMI) about it overheating. the kit was an easily installation and it looks awesome under the hood. my first experience with the car was at SEMA this year (2006). i had to set in the line to get the car in the building most of the day. i could set in 80+ degree weather idling without the temperature ever getting over 170 degrees. what a killer product!

Radiator Fan Combo

I just installed the "new CONCEPT in radiator design with
Flex-a-fit Sidetanks with fan and additional controller" in my 56 f100 with tilt nose and it is beautiful. So easy to install. Every hot rodder should have one.
